Enterprise:
Our school and program were established in 1990 at the Haydarpaşa Campus of our university. Our aim is to train medical laboratory technicians who have reached a sufficient level of work manipulation by applying all necessary automation and manual operations on patient materials in laboratories where biochemical and microbiological analyzes are applied. Our graduates working in private and public health institutions can complete their undergraduate education as a result of the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) exam and can also perform their Master's and Doctorate education.
Degree Awarded:
Graduates who successfully complete the program are given an associate degree diploma in the field of Medical Laboratory Technician and receive the title of Medical Laboratory Technician.
Admission and Registration Requirements:
Students are admitted with the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) Basic Proficiency Exam (TYT).
Rules on the Recognition of Prior Learning:
Students studying at our university may be exempt from some courses within the framework of certain regulations. If the course content is approved by the school administrative board and applied within the deadline, students may be exempted from the specified courses.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations:
To successfully complete all the courses available in the program and to have obtained a weighted GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.

They work as medical laboratory technicians in biochemistry and microbiology laboratories of public and private institutions. They can work in the pharmaceutical industry and research and development laboratories. They can work as medical laboratory technicians in forensic medicine institutions and IVF centers. They can work in blood banks and dialysis centers.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs:
Our graduates are successful in the central associate degree completion exam and gain the right to transfer vertically to appropriate undergraduate programs (Chemistry, Biology and Nursing). In this way, they can complete their undergraduate education.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading:
Our exams are prepared as tests and practical exams. At least one midterm and final exam is applied for each course. Exams are held on dates in accordance with the exam calendar of our university. Relative evaluation and equivalent letter success score are determined.
Graduation Requirements:
In order to graduate from the 4-semester education of our program, it is necessary to complete 130 ECTS credits successfully in all compulsory theoretical and applied courses and elective courses and to obtain a weighted GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.
Facilities:
Medical Laboratory Techniques Program continues its education with theoretical and practical courses. Applications are carried out in the research laboratory and molecular biology laboratory in the Vocational School of Health Services.
